The New England Holocaust
Memorial is located in Boston’s
Carmen Park. It features 6 luminous
glass towers etched with six million
numbers in memory of the Jews
who perished in the Holocaust. It’s
towers are set on black granite
paths each over a dark smoldering
chamber bearing the name of one of
principal Nazi death camps.
Boston's Theatre district...
Looks what’s playing!!
Park Street Church on the right founded
in 1808. The church quickly became
known as "Brimstone Corner", though
whether this was for the storage of
gunpowder during the War of 1812 or for
the fiery sermons delivered from the
corner balcony overlooking Boston
Common.
The Old South Meeting House on the left was the
organizing point for the Boston Tea Party in 1773.
5,000 colonists gathered at the Meeting House,
the largest building in Boston at the time. This is
the 2nd oldest building in the US.
The Old State House is a historic building located at the
intersection of Washington and State Streets. Built in
1713 it is the oldest surviving public building in Boston .
The cobblestone ring on the traffic island at the
Devonshire and State Street intersection marks the site
where five colonists were killed by a British guard of nine
soldiers on March 5, 1770. - This building was the
foreground for the Boston Massacre. In 1776 the
Declaration of Independence was read from the balcony.
